Small Cup with Stamped Leaves Gas-fired
Wheel-thrown small cup made with a cornish clay, stamped with my hand-carved clay stamps and glazed in a mossy green.
This piece is fired in a gas kiln, in a reduction atmosphere. By controlling the amount of oxygen the kiln receives, unique and highly varied results can be achieved, resulting in distinctive colours, textures and speckles.
However these cups can be used for tea, coffee, or cold drinks. Simply hold the cup by the rim and base ring for boiling hot drinks.
