Serving Bowl with Wild Clay Slips and Melted Wood Ash
Wheel-thrown large, shallow dish that can be used as a serving bowl or fruit bowl. Painted with wild clay slips collected locally, glazed in shino and dusted with wood ash from my studio stove. Gas-fired.
Approximately 25 cm in diameter and 7 cm in height
Safety notice and warnings:
Dishwasher safe but hand wash recommended.
Microwave safe but not safe for use on direct heat sources e.g. stovetops or ovens
Do not expose to sudden temperature changes (e.g. pouring boiling water into a cold vessel), as this may cause cracking or breakage.
Handle with care. Handmade pottery can be delicate and may chip, crack or break if dropped or handled roughly
Keep out of reach of small children and pets to prevent breakage or injury
