The cut-outs prolong the life of fruit by allowing air to circulate among them. The bowl can also be used as a beautiful luminary. Simply place a tealight candle in it and watch the cutouts light up the walls.
This piece is a second due to some glaze imperfections. This however, does not affect it’s function.
