Flock of Birds Berry Bowl in Olive Celadon

£72.00
Only 1 available

Bird-carved berry (or small fruit) bowl. Wheel-thrown and carved freehand with birds shoals. Glazed in celadon and wood-fired.

This piece is fired in a large anagama wood kiln. A team of potters worked around the clock, feeding wood into the kiln for five days and nights. The flame paths and ash flying around in the kiln create unique surfaces on each pot and highly varied results are achieved.

The cut-out fish prolong the life of fruit by allowing air to circulate among them. The bowl can also be used as a beautiful luminary. Simply place a tealight candle in it and watch fish shoals light up the walls.

This listing is for one berry bowl, although more may be available.

Safety notice and warnings:

Dishwasher safe but hand wash recommended.

Microwave safe but not safe for use on direct heat sources e.g. stovetops or ovens

Do not expose to sudden temperature changes (e.g. pouring boiling water into a cold vessel), as this may cause cracking or breakage.

Handle with care. Handmade pottery can be delicate and may chip, crack or break if dropped or handled roughly

Keep out of reach of small children and pets to prevent breakage or injury
