Day and Night Pony Mug in Shino - Second
Wheel-thrown mug with hand cut stencil decoration and black slip. Glazed in shino and wood-fired in an anagama kiln in Devon.
This mug is a second due to another piece touching the rim during the firing, leaving a small rough path on the lip of the mug.
A team of potters worked around the clock, feeding wood into the kiln for five days and nights. This results in beautiful, varied surfaces where ash and flame affect surface textures and colours.
These cups can be used for tea, coffee, or cold drinks.
Stoneware-fired, dishwasher and microwave safe, although hand-washing recommended.
