Pony Mug with Wild Clay and Natural Fly Ash Glaze
Wheel-thrown mug with hand cut stencil decoration and a wild clay slip from Meeth, Devon. Unglazed on the exterior with natural glaze formed from ash flying around the kiln. Fired in an anagama kiln in Devon.
A team of potters worked around the clock, feeding wood into the kiln for five days and nights. This results in beautiful, varied surfaces where ash and flame affect surface textures and colours.
These cups can be used for tea, coffee, or cold drinks.
Stoneware-fired, dishwasher and microwave safe, although hand-washing recommended.
