Wheel-thrown mug with hand cut stencil decoration and black slip. Unglazed on the exterior with natural glaze formed from ash flying around the kiln. Fired in an anagama kiln in Devon.
A team of potters worked around the clock, feeding wood into the kiln for five days and nights. This results in beautiful, varied surfaces where ash and flame affect surface textures and colours.
Please note that the top of the mug has distorted and is not perfectly round.
These cups can be used for tea, coffee, or cold drinks.
Stoneware-fired, dishwasher and microwave safe, although hand-washing recommended.
