The Dandelion Jar
Wheel-thrown jar, decorated with hand cut stencils. Glazed in celadon, dusted with wood ash from my studio stove and gas-fired. The lid is custom made to fit by local woodworker, Peter Carragher using Dutch Elm offcuts. sealed and finished with food-grade beeswax.
Measures approximately 17 cm tall.
Safety notice and warnings:
The ceramic base is dishwasher safe but hand wash recommended.
Microwave safe but not safe for use on direct heat sources e.g. stovetops or ovens
Do not expose to sudden temperature changes (e.g. pouring boiling water into a cold vessel), as this may cause cracking or breakage.
Handle with care. Handmade pottery can be delicate and may chip, crack or break if dropped or handled roughly
Keep out of reach of small children and pets to prevent breakage or injury
