Small Cup with Porcelain Wildflower Inlay Gas-fired
Wheel-thrown small cup, stamped with my hand-carved clay stamps and inlaid with porcelain.
This piece is fired in a gas kiln, in a reduction atmosphere. By controlling the amount of oxygen the kiln receives, unique and highly varied results can be achieved, resulting in distinctive colours, textures and speckles.
However these cups can be used for tea, coffee, or cold drinks. Simply hold the cup by the rim and base ring for boiling hot drinks.
Stoneware-fired, dishwasher and microwave safe, although hand-washing recommended.
