The Hare and the Moon Cup
Wheel-thrown small cup, decorated with my hand-cut stencils and porcelain and iron-rich clay slips.
This piece is fired in a gas kiln, in a reduction atmosphere. By controlling the amount of oxygen the kiln receives, unique and highly varied results can be achieved, resulting in distinctive colours, textures and speckles.
However these cups can be used for tea, coffee, or cold drinks. Simply hold the cup by the rim and base ring for boiling hot drinks.
Stoneware-fired, dishwasher and microwave safe, although hand-washing recommended.
