Fish Shoal Berry Bowl in Celadon

£64.00
Sold Out

Fish-carved berry (or small fruit) bowl. Wheel-thrown and carved freehand with swirling fish shoals. Glazed in a carbon trap shino.

This piece is fired in a gas kiln, in a reduction atmosphere. By controlling the amount of oxygen the kiln receives, unique and highly varied results can be achieved, resulting in distinctive colours and textures and speckles.

The cut-out fish prolong the life of fruit by allowing air to circulate among them. The bowl can also be used as a beautiful luminary. Simply place a tealight candle in it and watch fish shoals light up the walls.

This listing is for one berry bowl, although more may be available.

Dishwasher safe. Hand wash recommended.
