Carved Scoop in Shino and Stove Ash
Small, carved scoop perfect for coffee or loose leaf tea. Glazed in shino on the inside with a dusting of wood ash from my studio fire.
This piece is fired in a gas kiln, in a reduction atmosphere. By controlling the amount of oxygen the kiln receives, unique and highly varied results can be achieved, resulting in distinctive colours, textures and speckles.
Stoneware-fired, dishwasher and microwave safe, although hand-washing recommended.
